The article entitled “Personal and Cultural Grief Rituals among Earthquake Survivors in Türkiye,” derived from the master’s thesis of Huri Elif Özcan Karakoyun, a graduate of our Guidance and Psychological Counseling Master’s Program, and prepared under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. F. Zehra Ünlü Kaynakcı, a faculty member of our Department, was published in the Gaziantep University Journal of Educational Sciences.
The study examined the personal and cultural grief rituals of earthquake survivors in Türkiye. By exploring the role of individual experiences and cultural practices in post-disaster grieving processes, the study offers an important perspective for psychological counseling and post-disaster psychosocial support efforts.
